Reminders:

  • Call for presentations extended until March 7th for DevCon 2008
  • Sign up to help with Open Source Day III being held on the Sunday before DevCon at OSCELOT's web site
  • Building Blocks training will take place at our DC office on March 25-27

DevCon:

  • New tracks aligned with application of Building Blocks/PowerLinks
  • What are your goals for attending?
  • Developer appreciation event
  • Potential keynote speaker

DevDay:

  • First event of this type in the UK
  • Smaller, regionalized version of DevCon - might be an option for the budget conscious who can't make it to Las Vegas

Projects:

  • Does an iTunesU PowerLink exist? (We know a Building Block does)
  • Contact George directly if you'd like to undertake a student project as part of a class or otherwise
  • OSID Federated Search content repository interoperability Building Block is coming along nicely and will be presented at the Open Repositories Conference
  • Enhancements suggested for Photo Slideshow

EduGarage: 

  • Welcome Judy Lynn! as the commercial Solutions Engineer for the BbDN. We look forward to the exciting plans her team has for BbDN members and partners.
  • Investigating an articles section for EduGarage that puts development into practice and highlights topic-based development projects. We want you to share your success here, too!
  • Continuing to investigate ways to make getting started easier. We know there is a somewhat steep learning curve.
