Introducing the O.K.I. iTunes U Building Block (Beta Version)
This new content type Building Block seamless authentication for a user between a Blackboard course and the content stored on the iTunes U website. Instructors can easily add content such as podcasts or music to their iTunes U library and link to it using this Building Block. From within their course, students can click on the link to the content stored in iTunes U which then launches the iTunes client software on their local machine. The software automatically authenticates them into the course content stored in iTunes U. The student can synchronize this content with their iTunes software.
How do I get the O.K.I. iTunes U Building Block?
Go to the online Building Blocks Catalog and search on keywords "podcast" or "iTunes U." Or download it from the Attachments Tab of this wiki entry.

This software is in beta and is use at your own risk. An open source version of the software will be released and support will be provided by the open source community.

Who developed the O.K.I iTunes U Building Block?
The O.K.I. iTunes U Building Block was developed in partnership with Apple, LearningMate, the O.K.I. Initiative with support from Blackboard for marketing assistance. This Building Block is currently available as a Beta version. To use this Building Block your instititution will need an iTunes U account from Apple and Blackboard Learning System release 7.x.
