About free and open source projects

All projects listed here are free or open source in nature. Free tools may or may not also distribute their source code. Open source tools are released under any number of open source licenses. If you plan to share your project as an open source tool, consider hosting your project with OSCELOT. OSCELOT (the Open Source Community for Educational Learning Objects and Tools) supports open source development projects in the academic/educational space and provides free hosting and development tools for your project.
